Learning to Work Without Interrupting
We began our photographic journey in weddings before expanding into the music industry.
Photographing artists, festivals and live performances taught us to work discreetly in fast-moving, unpredictable environments where there are no second takes and no opportunity to ask someone to repeat a moment.
That experience refined our documentary style rather than changing it.
Whether photographing a bride walking down the aisle or a headline artist walking onto a stage, our responsibility remains the same: capture the atmosphere without becoming part of it.
Finding Beauty in Difficult Light
One of the biggest challenges shared by weddings and live music is lighting.
Neither environment is designed for photographers.
Wedding venues move from bright summer gardens to dimly lit churches, candlelit receptions and dance floors illuminated only by fairy lights.
Concert venues present equally demanding conditions, with rapidly changing stage lighting, deep shadows and dramatic colour.
Instead of fighting the available light, we've learnt to embrace it.
The result is imagery that feels authentic, cinematic and true to the atmosphere of the moment.
Remaining Calm Under Pressure
A wedding timeline doesn't pause because a camera setting needs changing.
Neither does a live performance.
